Contact merge suggestions
Herodesk now suggests contacts that may be duplicates. Review the matching details and merge them in one click to keep customer information together.

The same customer writes in from a new address. A webshop sync quietly creates a second record. And suddenly one person is two contacts, each holding half the history, so the agent looking at either one is missing the other half.
Contact merge suggestions are now available in Herodesk.
Duplicates come to you, with the evidence
Herodesk gathers likely-duplicate contacts on their own page under Contacts, with a pending count in the sidebar so you know when there’s something to review. Each suggestion lays out the contact that would be kept, the one that would be merged away, and why the two matched: a shared email address or phone number found during a webshop customer sync, for example. The reason is on the table before you decide anything.
Apply or dismiss in one click
Happy it’s the same person? Apply the merge, and Herodesk moves the conversations, tags and fields onto the contact you keep: nothing is left stranded on the record that folds in. Not a match? Dismiss it, and it won’t come back to bother you.
Suggestions are generated today by the Shopify customer sync, so the duplicates it turns up are the ones your store already knows about.
Where to find it
Contact merge suggestions live on their own page under Contacts, flagged by a pending badge in the sidebar. They’re free on every Herodesk plan, including Free. Read more on the Contact merge suggestions feature page.
